Samaritans were chosen because of the emotional support they provide to anyone who is in distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide. The COVID-19 crisis is the biggest challenge they have ever faced, so the donation will help them continue to provide support even after the pandemic.
This 500 piece circular jigsaw puzzle celebrates the wonderful heroes who helped us during this difficult time, from nurses and doctors, to delivery drivers and emergency services. Thank you for everything you have and continue to do for us.
As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.
We’ve made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste. We use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.
Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
ABOUT THE ARTIST Charlotte Pepper
Charlotte grew up in sunny Staffordshire and spent much of her childhood drawing and painting, collaging and doodling. She studied Surface Pattern Design at Staffordshire University and has since worked in the greetings card industry for 17 years. While she occasionally still likes to get messy with paint and glue, she prefers to work in Photoshop, while trying to maintain a fluid, natural feel to her work. She loves textures and layering, but also strong linework and mark making. She’s often inspired by nature, whether there’s an amazing combination of colour, or an interesting perspective or composition.
